Nature in the ABG
Flower Festival 2012:
Arranged by Rosemary Gaskell Taylor and given by Linda Petti
This arrangement sets out to represent the green and pleasant space which surrounds the burial plots.
The ABG went through a period where the vegetation grew rather wild, but in more recent years it has returned to becoming a well tended and tranquil space where birds nest and bees buzz and is managed by Camden Council as a Nature Conservation Area. This involves letting the wild flowers (and the grass) grow, leaving wood piles and dead trees for the beetles, and generally working with a light touch to preserve the delicate balance of flora, fauna and people.
