Frederick R D’Oyly Monro (c1880 - 1966)

Solicitor. For many years secretary of the Royal Sailors’ Daughters’ Home in Fitzjohn’s Avenue – now Monro House, named after him. He wrote a history of the Hampstead Cricket Club (1949), in which it is stated that he was a Reptonian, an Oxonian, and no mean cricketer. He joined the club in 1896.
